Spectator or in British English Co-Respondent shoes are created by using two differen colors or/and two different leathers like calf hide and suede combined. The lace panels in a darker color than the main body of the shoe or vice versa. This style of shoe dates from the nineteenth century but reached the height of popularity during the 1920s The Spectator shoe (British English: Co-respondent shoe) comes in the style of Oxford, semi-Brogue or full Brogue shoes constructed from two contrasting colors/leathers with the toe and heel cap and sometimes and 1930s. Since the showing of the TV series “Boardwalk Empire”, the Spectator shoe has experienced a strong revival and is now seen more and more often, even in the business districts of our cities.
